We'll tell you straight: a retractable patio cover is not the right product for every patio. If you need a permanent, all-weather roof you can leave up through winter snow load and never touch, buy a fixed aluminum cover or build a solid-roof structure instead, because a retractable unit is meant to fold away and it should not carry standing snow. If your patio sits on a true bluff edge with sustained high wind rather than occasional gusts, the sensor will retract the cover so often you won't get much use out of it, so a fixed louvered system may serve you better there. Lead time from order to installation runs four to six weeks because each cover is custom-built to the inch in Jacksonville, Florida, then crated and shipped to us. The onsite technician walks you through operating and maintaining the cover before sign-off, and the workmanship is backed by a one-year installation warranty on top of Sunesta's factory coverage.
